General Terms and Conditions of Sale

BIG GAME FISHING

1. BOOKING AND VALIDITY OF SERVICES

Bookings and registrations with SAS DTO are valid for two seasons: the current season and the following season. Registrations are open throughout the year for the upcoming season.

Any booking becomes firm and definitive upon receipt of full payment for the service. Payment facilities may be granted upon request and subject to the approval of SAS DTO.

Bookings can be made:

Holders of an open ticket must contact SAS DTO by telephone or e-mail to select a date. A departure date is only considered definitively confirmed once a confirmation e-mail has been received from SAS DTO. Please also check your spam or junk mail folder.

2. PAYMENT METHODS

We accept the following payment methods:

Payment by cheque: the cheque, payable to SAS DTO, must be sent by post together with the completed registration form. The mailing address is provided on the registration form. A tracked letter may be used, but payments should not be sent by registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt.

Important: cheques are no longer accepted directly at our office and must be cleared at least 10 days before the scheduled departure.

Bank transfer: the completed registration form and proof of transfer must be sent to us by e-mail.

Payment link: payment by bank card can be made at our office or via a payment link sent by e-mail.

Cash payment: cash payments are accepted only at our office, a few days before the trip.

3. CANCELLATION OR CHANGES REQUESTED BY THE CUSTOMER

Any confirmed booking constitutes a firm commitment. Services that have been booked and paid for are non-refundable in the event of cancellation or withdrawal at the customer's initiative.

Requests made at least 15 days before departure

Any request must be submitted at least 15 calendar days before the scheduled departure date, by e-mail or post.

Subject to availability, the customer may:

A confirmed date may be changed twice free of charge. Any additional change will incur an administration fee of €15 per change.

Requests made less than 15 days before departure

No cancellation, postponement or date change requested by the customer can normally be accepted less than 15 days before the scheduled departure. The service remains payable in full and all amounts paid remain due to SAS DTO.

However, to avoid losing the booking, the customer may transfer the reservation to another person, provided SAS DTO is informed before the departure and the replacement participant meets any conditions required to take part in the activity.

Any official request must be made by e-mail or post. Requests made solely by SMS, voicemail or instant messaging will not be considered official requests for a change.

4. WEATHER, SEA CONDITIONS AND TECHNICAL ISSUES

The safety of our participants and our teams is our priority. As big game fishing trips are directly dependent on weather conditions, sea conditions and the technical conditions required for the safe operation of the trip, SAS DTO may exceptionally have to postpone a departure, including at short notice.

After reviewing the latest available weather forecasts, participants are generally informed on the morning before the scheduled departure, mainly by telephone or SMS. The decision to operate or postpone a trip is solely the responsibility of SAS DTO and the activity managers.

When a postponement is decided by SAS DTO

If weather conditions, sea conditions, a technical issue or any other safety-related circumstance prevent the trip from taking place as scheduled, the trip will be postponed to a new date. The ticket and all amounts paid remain valid.

The new date will be arranged according to the respective availability of:

Whenever possible, a new departure may be offered as early as the following day or within the following days.

A postponement due to weather, sea conditions, technical issues or safety considerations does not entitle the customer to a refund, subject to any mandatory legal provisions that may apply.

If the proposed new date is not suitable for the participant, the ticket remains valid for the duration of its validity period and another date may be arranged jointly. The ticket may also be transferred to another person after SAS DTO has been informed in advance.

Serious and exceptional circumstances

If a serious, sudden and unavoidable event occurs less than 15 days before the scheduled departure, SAS DTO may exceptionally agree to postpone the service.

The following situations may be taken into consideration:

Supporting documentation may be requested. The service will not be refunded, but the amount paid will not be lost. The booking will be converted into a ticket that can be rescheduled, allowing the participant to choose a new date with SAS DTO, subject to availability and within the applicable validity period.

The ticket may also be transferred to another person after SAS DTO has been informed in advance. This is an exceptional commercial measure and does not entitle the customer to a refund.

5. TRAVEL, ACCOMMODATION AND OTHER EXPENSES

Given the nature of our activities and their dependence on weather and sea conditions, customers travelling from outside the area are strongly advised, whenever possible, to choose:

To the extent permitted by applicable regulations, SAS DTO cannot be held responsible for additional expenses incurred by participants with third-party providers, including transport, accommodation, meals or other personal expenses, in the event of a postponed trip.

Whenever possible, we recommend allowing two to three days of flexibility around the chosen date.

6. NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS AND TRIP ORGANISATION

Some big game fishing trips may require a minimum number of participants or specific organisational conditions.

If these conditions are not met, SAS DTO may propose postponing the service to another date. The ticket will remain valid and may be used for a future trip under the conditions set out in these General Terms and Conditions.

7. OPEN TICKETS AND POSTPONEMENTS

Open tickets allow the holder to choose a date at a later time from the dates available through SAS DTO.

They do not guarantee availability on any specific date until that date has been confirmed in writing by SAS DTO. The holder of an open ticket is therefore responsible for contacting us sufficiently in advance to select a date.

Tickets that have been postponed retain their value for the service booked throughout their validity period and may also be transferred to a third party after prior notification to SAS DTO.

8. FAILURE TO ATTEND ON THE DAY OF THE TRIP

Failure to attend on the day of the trip, without a prior change having been accepted in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions, will be considered a withdrawal from the service.

The service will be considered due and consumed. No refund or postponement will be granted.

9. ACCEPTANCE OF THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

By confirming a booking and making payment, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood and accepted these General Terms and Conditions of Sale without reservation.

The customer acknowledges having been informed in particular of:

These provisions apply subject to any mandatory legal provisions protecting consumers which cannot be waived by contract.
